didnt know where to ask this. but im doing a swap and went to pickup some b series axles at autozone today. and the core price is like 45 a peice. so I was wondering if i could use my d series axles as the core. would they notice the difference? has anyone else tryed this? thanks. let me know
 
Yea chances are if they care, they won't notice anyway.
 
they wont notice, but you'll royally piss off the guy who orders B axles and gets your rebuilt D's.
 
Yes they probably will notice.

The D series driver side axle is like 20 inches longer.

I did it, they could care less but they do know, bring it to one of the.... uhm.... less intelligent looking person.
 
If you pay for the core, and then bring the dseries back they will never know. Only thing is, it has to fit in the b series box because they want that back too.
 
it doesnt matter, as long as we have a core to send back we are happy. let the wharehouse worry about if its the right core. i'm second assistant at advance auto.
