You need to get the axle that matchs your halfshaft. the pre 94 tegs used a male axle (going into the halfshaft). So yes you should have to use a pre 94. unless you used 94+ axles and halfshaft, in which case that is what you need.
also, keep in mind, if your car does not have ABS, when you go to the store to buy new ones, you don't have to buy the abs axle even though normally tegs and SI's have abs, because the only diffrence is the abs ring on the out side.
