B16 Cable

Im swappin a JDM b16 SIR 2 with a cable tranny into my 98 civic hatch. I found some hydraulic to cable kit and im not sure wut they really do. Does the kit change the cable tranny into a hydraulic tranny? What about the clutch resivore thing connected to the firewall what happenes to that?

JDM B16A SiR2s only come with hydro trannys

are you sure they are not trying to sell you a B16A SiR1???

this just overall sounds like a bad idea


get the right engine and tranny from the start ... less headaches and will probly cost you less in the long run

I have the SIR 2 block and the SIR1 tranny. Im goin to swap it and i just dont understand the hydraulic to cable thing.

I ran it, cable tranny along with a first gen into a 92 hatch, after about 3 month I went through two cables, and eventually sold the motor infavor of the SiR2 and hydro tranny.


personally, I would stick with hydro to make life easier.
