I have a B16 tranny with the LSD (S21 i believe). It's been bugging me because if i get on the highway, it sounds like its running at high rpms when i'm going 60-65. I've read and it sounds like the B16 tranny i have now is more for low speed/acceleration, the LS for higher speeds, and the GSR is the happy medium. I've started to look into the different types and trying to see if changing the transmission would be worth it. Does anyone know if the LS or GSR tranny would actually allow me to hit higher speeds, or would it just be better worth it to keep my S21 transmission? I'm just wondering if the ls or gsr transmissions would actually allow me to drive on the highway, or if they don't make much of a difference in the top end speed. I appreciate the help.

I want to do this, have you done this yourself? Other than the LS 5th gear itself, what else do I need to buy to make this work?

    Thanks.
