b16 idle problem

    i have a b16 in a hatch. when i start up the car, it idles from 2500 to 600 and sometime seems it wants to die. sometimes it will be normal driving condition. sometime my tack doesnt work. sometime im not sure if my tach is working or not could when the tack drop low, the car want to die. my cel are 10, 20, 41. i know two of them will not do nothing for that but im not so of 20. help!

    It sounds ignition related if your tach is going wild. But the surging idle would usualy be a vacuum leak condition. You stated in your other post that you were "bogging" when hiting the acelerator, I'de check the map sensor, any related vacuum lines, connectors, and wiring.

    thanks for reply, ill check all of that. can it be anything else?? can i have blown it?

    Realy doubt its blown. It would not run and probably would have started to smoke or just made a loud popping noise.
