i bought a 1990 CRX SI from a friend of a friend and the transmission went out it has a B16 Vtec JDM he told me the Transmission was a LS transmission i have know idea what this means i need to replace the trany and need to know what the best type of trany i can put in it. if you guys can help me with a modle number or what car i need to get it out of.. or what to even ask for, the tag on it now is A11915467

Ls is an integra,
what type of driving do you do? alot of interstate or mainly city?
you could get another ls tranny, or you can get a b16 tranny.
the b16 has closer gears, better for acceleration, but at 70mph you will be sitting about 4100 rpm.
the ls has longer gears, better for regulat dd and interstate, at 70mph you will be sitting at about 3k rpm.
