b16 sirII in ej1 coupe

hey hows everyone going. i just want to know a few things about the b16 sir2 swap in my ej1 coupe using the stock p30. does the complete change over off of H motors online come with the knock sensor? i heard you need to wire in a knock sensor? is that neccesary for doing this swap? what exactly does the knock sensor do? thanks alot

it detects knocking in your engine its easy to wire up a knock sencor or you could get it disabled by chipping your p30
