B16 swap question

When doing the b16a1 swap into an ef, can you use the SIR shift linkage? Does it need to be modified in any way. thanks.

i heard no.. it all depends which mounts you use.... don't sacrifice wasting your synchros

Any quality mount kit that you use should put the motor in the same location as a stock sir. If not, you got a shitty set of mounts and you are going to be blowing through axles left and right. The shift linkage should work fine. It came from the same chassis that you are putting into. I undertstand that this is a JDM v. USDM issue, but like I said, any "good" mount kit will properly place the engine in the correct location within the engine compartment .
