hi, I have a '97 civic with a b16a manual 5 spd hydro tranny(which broke inside and outside), what do I need to do replace my current tranny with a cable one?? and what do I need beside the tranny and the cable?:confused:
 
Why is it that you're wanting to do this? I'd just go with another hydro transmission if possible. If the hydraulic gearboxes weren't better, they would have stuck with the cable setups...

Becuase my brother has a cable one sitting there for a while now and since I have a little one on the way I just want my car to be back on the road, not to be ripping the road or track (for now)...
 
I guess no one has done it before, I'll just try it to see if it will work
