Hi I have a 94 eg hatch I got a b16a I'm swapping in I got it in but I'm running into a huge problem lol I'm usond my d series wiring harness and it don't seem to completely hook up and is short on some things can anyone help give me some hints to make this wire up a little easier maybe a diagram or anything useful
The year of the engine, and model of Civic are important, need em. If it is a 92-95 engine it is going to be really easy. Every piece of information you need is in these sub forums ... Swap Articles - HondaSwap Forums Reference Materials - HondaSwap Forums General Tech Articles - HondaSwap Forums
You're not going to want to hear this, but you need to. Get rid of that motor. Get a 92-95 B16A with a hydraulic transmission. There's an article somewhere in there about the auto->manual trans.
Why get rid of this motor its built can't I just go buy a hydro tranny seems a little cheaper lol and sell my cable tranny
You could, but I believe some of the plugs are different, on the injectors, and distributor, possibly others, maybe the MAP too. Also, I don't know where you are, but in some places it is illegal to put an older motor in a car, you have to swap same year, or newer, but not everywhere cares.
Ya I got it wired today fully finally I live in Oklahoma use to live in Texas but ya idk if it's illegal we don't do emissions testing here now I'm think my starter is bad though
You're fine as far as legality then. Why do you think the starter's bad? Triple check all you grounds before buying a new one.
