My b16a has a mild tick coming from the intake cam side on cyl. 2 or 3 between 1500 and 3500 rpm. i was thinking this may be a loose valve but i checked the clearances and theyre all right on spec. The cams are in good shape as well as the bearing surfaces on the head. anyone think the lost motion assemblies springs might be getting weak? cylinder 2 & 3 LMA's feel slightly easier to compress than 1 & 4 but im not sure if its enough to cause a tick?? the motor had Skunk2 pro2s in it with a previous set up but its back to stock internals now...the big cams possibly over-extended the LMAs over time and weakened the springs inside them?
