i just bought a 89si with a b16a it pulls as hard as my friends prelude h22a
is it a sir2 how can i tell

does it have a cable or hydro tranny? its probably cable and if so then its not a sir2

88-91s are all cable
but u can bolt on any b serise tranny
what im looking for is how to tell by the block?
it just says b16a

the year it was cast is stamped on the front of the block above the exhaust manifold.
