Hi! I'm just new in here. I need help on installing a first gen b16 into civic eg. Had found out that I need to use the engine bracket and mount, rear bracket and mount, a/c bracket all from b16 eg. But I still don't know what to do with the tranny side, i noticed that the mount's hole are not the same. Can I use the eg mount and bracket (it is like a plate where the mount is bolted). I know that there are available kits for this, but i'm really tight on budget. I hope you guys could help me. By the way my civic is carburetor powered that's why I want to shift to VTEC. Thanks!

I hope you have addressed the problems that are going to arise form puting a fuel injected OBD 0 motor into a carburated OBD I car. Aside from that, use the D series rubber mount part that bolts to the car, and the brackets from the B series.

if your using the cable tranny then you should use the HAsport upper tranny mount so that the motor sits straight and not at an angle.,,,GSR uppper and rear mounts will work.

what the hell kinda of EG is carburated??

The effeciant(sp) kind. There is a model of carburated EG out there, not in the states though.

THaks guys for the immediate reply! I have no problem with migrating to efi motor. It is very common here in the Philippines for all EG hatchback are only equipped with d12b1 engine, its a 1200cc carburetor powered engine. So have to do all the wirings, change the fuel tank for it has no fuel pump inside and then do the mounts. I tried to look at my current (d series) tranny's mount but its mount holes are different from that of EF.

i wish i could readily afford buying the hasport's EGBCC kit. I'm an IT specialist here in my country but my salary is too low :( . I was able to find one on the net but it costs $219. Do you know where I can buy it at a much lower price? Thanks!

i think i'm going to treat your solution close to my last resort. Anyway can I buy the hasport tranny mount and stil can use the type R b16 eg mounts together? will there be no problem with the engine's alignment? Does the stock tranny also has a bracket under the mount like that of the EFs? Also, do anyone of you guys knows where to get a service manual for civic equipped with b16 EG? Thanks!

You can find them probably in a country that had B16A's. Over here, they are all in German, but I believe you can get one from a UK supplier that's in english. I just use the US Helms manual for the EG, and one for the delsol which had a B16.
