Gates Racing Builds the belts for Power Enterprises in their Gates Unitta Plant in Japan. Power Enterprises sells timing belts to Performance Distributors Greddy , Toda And HKS.

after doing some research. greddy belts cost twice as much as the gates belt and it made by the same company.

damn near look the same as well.

finally got a fuckin break in the weather here so i pulled my car out of the garage and gave it a good wash, snaped some photos of it as well for you to see whats it going in.

just have a simple question for you guys that i cant find in the manual.

i just installed the head, torqued it down to 65 flbs like arp recommends. i then placed a spark plug in the number one cylinder just to see if there is any air leaking around the valve job the machinist did. then rotated a complete cycle of the engine and heard air coming from the bottom of the piston exiting the skirt.

my question is: is air coming out because the piston rings havent seated yet and it wont happen till i break the engine in?

or

is there something wrong with the rings or pistons?

please help me out
