B16a2 in an EG hatch

Hi All,
transplanted a B16a2 OBD2 motor onto our EG hatch.
Didn't want to change the harness, so we fitted a JDM P30 ecu (which plugged straight in) and wired up the engine.
All appears to work fine, except the engine is running rich- does anyone know what may be causing this?

We've also noticed that it is using oil especially when vtecing a lot. We done a leakdown and compression test but the motor is healthy (only 30,000 miles on the clock) There is no blue smoke from the back.

Are these too things related? Any ideas please
