b16a2 T. B. need help?????

my friend has a b16a2 thats boosted, i need to know how to check the timing,
i think it may have jumped time or something? he has aftermarket cams and cam gears. i dont think that will make i difference, but will it?
it wont stay runing and its very crapy then dies. if you try to give it some gas the rpm does not change and still spiting and spudering.... but i havent checked the compression yet. any ideas???????????

sounds broke.... but if you dont know how to check timing i wouldnt touch the car dude. wrong timing + boost = blown motor

the car probably bent valves bro.. there are 3 lines on the crank pulley and 1 more behind them.. onthe t/b cover there is a line... turn crank until line on cover meets single line on pulley that is TDC cam gears should be up the gears have horizontal slashes on them if those are not even then the belt skipped and being boosted it prob.. bent valves good luck bro..
