b16a2 , type r ecu?

i have a 99 ob2b hatch with 98 b16a2 conversion, using an obd2b to obd1 jumper harness running an old crx ecu, i bought it like this.. would it be any advantage to change to an obd2a type r ecu r p2t jdm sir ecu?? jus feel like it should be pulling a bit stronger... thanks for any input..

p30 should run it fine. type r is designed for a 1.8, not a 1.6.
