I have a b16a2 block from a 00 si will that bolt right in to my 99 SiR? I had a b16a2 in my 99 SiR also. Also what oil should I run in my engine? Its has some piston work. Just making sure I dont need to run anything special. In my old engine I was running 5w20 mobil one full synthetic. I live in yuma az where the summers are 110+ and winters get to the maybe 40's

yeah the blocks are the same if they have the same code b16a2..why whould they be different???

The Si and SiR have the same motor. The Si is a coupe the SiR is a hatch.

5w20 is WAAY too thin for summer, I use 5w30 in the winter and 10w40 in the summer, or 5w40 if you can find it.

oil thins when its hot and thikens when its cold.
