will it work if put a trans from a del sol that had a b16a3 in it with a 00 b16a2 into a 88 crx? would it be just the same as the tranny from the b16a2

The tranny's aren't the same, but I'm pretty sure they are compatible as long as you get a Hasport cable to hydraulic conversion, although I've read that the conversion setup isn't perfect. I don't know ask around.
 
it will work, you have to get the cable to hydro conversion kit with motor mounts from hasport $500

plus you going to need shift linkage, wiring

I was going to use my hydro tanny in my 90 crx, but deceided to find a cable tranny instead.
you could always find a cable tranny and sell the hydro tranny. I know a couple of people on here are in need of a hydro tranny baddly
