i have a friend looking to build his B17A, he has some parts already but is concerned with the rods. I know its been answered all the time, but do you guys think the stock rods will handle 300hp/~200lb-tq? The only aftermarket rods we can find are the Crowers, but he doesnt want to spend that much on rods (theyre like $700). Anyways, will a shotpeen and new rod bolts be a better choice? Also, are the rod bolts for the B17A rods 8mm or 9mm(also is it possible to make 9mm fit)?

Thanks guys.

I don't see any problem with 300 whp on stock rods, some people even get away with 300 whp on stock pistons.

nitrous...FI

ive never seen any B17 rods from eagle, even then some people on M24X forums(or HT?) say its better to use stock with new rod bolts than Eagle.
