Just bought an 89 hatch with a b18b automatic swap. OBD1. It seems like nothing else was done to the car in fact the guy tried to swap an auto tranny in it and failed. So its unfinished. I'm swapping to a B18a with a 5speed cable tranny. I'm just gonna run the motor stock with just an intake and exhaust. Should i change anything else? like the fuel pump?

    New to the Honda scene.

Was there something wrong with the B18B? It's essentially the same motor as the B18A, but newer...

Do you have any suggestions for pumps? I found a few walbro 255's for sale. seems to be a popular pump for hondas in general. I don't know much about it tho.

No need for fuel pump unless you're going turbo or supercharger.

You can easily run the B18B as OBD0. You just need either a conversion harness or all the OBD0 accessories...

    :werd:

The stocker will work just fine if you're not planning to build or boost...
