A few things to keep in mind as you read that second article:
1. The difference in sideloading due to the shorter rod is insignificant
2. The LS does not have poor lubrication, in fact the only difference in oil delivery is the oil squirters that spray the bottom of the piston. These are not for lubrication, but for cooling. And they are unnecessary. I have heard, but not confirmed, that many of the top Honda drag racers have plugged the squirters to reduce windage losses.
