B18A1 Cam & Turbo or Different engine

So im about to bulid my 92 civic. currently I have a B18A1 (got for free) now im wondering if I should sink money into turbo and cam setup or take that money and get a better engine. my goal is to try and get close to 300hp. any help would be great

Why cams? not high on the list of things I would upgrade if I was going to turbo any b series on a budget. A stock b18a should be capable of over 250+whp with a proper turbo setup and tuning. Have you checked compression on the old b18a you have? if the motor is solid, then ARP rod bolts and head studs would be my first priorities to make sure its stays together.

Hey wilder. Have you figured out how much you would like to spend? That will help you greatly in meeting your goals. A turbo set up will cost a good dollar or two but if that is what will make you happy, then it will be worth it in the end. What shape is the engine in? Have you done anything to it yet?
