I have a b18a1 engine laying around my house. I know that some of them are 130hp(90-91) and some of them are 140hp(92-93). How can I tell which engine I have??

The Engine code should be stamped into the block and if that wont tell you. refer to what it came out of.

would the code be right under where it says b18a1. There is, I think, 6 number under the b18a1. I don't know what it came out of.

    B18A1 is the engine code.

the B18A1 came in the 90 to 93 tegra's, now, depending on the year it makes either 130 or 140 hp.
    1990-1991 = 130 hp
    1992 - 1994 = 140 hp

as for the other numbers, I dunno dude. looks like your SOL

if you want 140hp out of the motor all you have to do is upgrade the cams to 94+ integra cams, buy some used off of someone on here or off of ebay, thats the only difference between the two engines the different cams

and don't pay more then 30 bucks for the set of cams they're a dime a dozen, hell more like a nickle a dozen, you could probably even pull some from a junk yard for pretty cheap and in good condition
