Have a b18a1 swap in my 91 dx. I did the swap myself and everything went fine except for the fact that I get absolutely horrible gas mileage. I did have someone help me with vacuum setup and I realized yesterday the vacuum hose going to the map was unplugged, I plug it up and my car idles around 2500 rpm. I unplug it and it idled fine. Is this why I'm running rich? Or something else entirely

Lots of factors here, go over wiring , pull CEL codes ( light blinking on ecu ) go from there

ALSO be sure you didn't cross the two distributor wires, they can severly retard the timing and you will *think* its running rich when really the timing is too far off to have a complete burn. Food for thought.
