Hello,
I just purchased a 98 civic EX to use as a daily driver. The car has a D16Y8 in it with a ton of miles on it. It also came with a B18A1 engine and transmission from an Integra. The guy said it was a easy swap. Now Im not a Honda guru by no means. I have done a few motor swaps, but those consisted of 383 strokers and 350s in rock crawling jeeps. Is the D16Y8 to a B18A1 in a 98 Civic possible. If not, what would you go with? I dont care to have a super fast motor. I bought this car as a daily driver and I drive 115 miles a day and need it to be dependable more than anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

well the b18a1 is an obd0 motor. . you'd want an obd2a ls motor .. anything can be dependable is done right.. i daily drive my b16 hatchback without a problem

you can use that one.. but its more work to swap it in.. sell it and buy a JDM b18b
