you could use a 96 to 98 ecu. you would just have to get a obd2b to obd2a jumper harness. thats if you couldn't source a 99+.

I just bought a 1994 Honda Civic Coupe a couple of months ago and wouldn't you know it a rod started knocking. It currently has a b18a1 in it and I have been having a wonderfully hard time finding a replacement engine. Most recently though I found a b18b1 from a 2001 Acura Integra, however it is just the block and headers(?).
So my questions are,
Will this engine(b18b1) work with the components from the b18a1(alternator and all that jazz)?
Will the transmission I currently have work with this newer engine?
Also, Is $550.00 too much for this engine?( it has 90,000 miles.)
