B17 pistons in a B18C5?

this combo works, right? no issues with the ls valve reliefs clearing with the itr cams or anything? compression height is close enough between the two?

why whats the story with the rod ends?

The reason I was wondering is cause I'm real tempted to do a boosted ITR motor in my new civic. I know a kid looking to get rid of a complete ITR swap but he's got CTR pistons in it so I need different ones anyways. might as well go a little bit lower than stock as long as I'm in there.

how about P61 B17 slugs? that would put the compression at around 9.8:1, I like that even better than the ~9.3:1-ish it would be with the B18A/Bs. Any such issues with those?

the wrist pin area are different widths.

i dont know about the b17's... could go either way

meaning the clearances in the pistons width-wise for the wrist pin end of the rod are different? so one combo there would be interference and the other there would be too much of a gap?

which is which? ie- piston or rod could be machined to fit the other?

anyone know this or if B17 pistons fit in a B18C5?
