ok here is the deal he got the swap in (b18c5 into an eg6) it runs but not to good it is fast but not that fast. everytime he steps on the clutch when he is driving he gets black smoke from the muffler and when he is sitting at a light or just at idle it goes up and down as far as the idle it will go from 1000 rpms to almost 2000 rpm over and over again he thinks it is the vtec messing up and he feels there is no vtec turning ov when he hit 4700 rpms also he is running a obd1 p72 would he be better of runnning an obd2 p72? and what can he do about the funny idle?
 
hmm, first off your running a GSR computer with an ITR motor, I recommend getting a p28 with ITR maps.
 
what he can do is get the obd2-->1 harness, run his current ECUm and then run the proper dizzy, alternator, and proper wiring.......


or you can run an obd1 ecu "p28" with ITR maps, into your current interior harness, then just swap over some minor under the hood parts "like getting an obd2 harness for the engine bay with proper injectors and using your current obd2 dizzy..
