B18C vs B18C R

[93civicGSR]

Ok. I just put a b18C in a 93 civic. I went to the races and saw a 00 type R whoopin up on people. I was wondering whats the real difference between a B18C1 and a C5 (I thinks thats wuts in the type R)?

Higher compression, mild port n' polish from the factory, higher red line, and about 20 more horsepower, plus a very short-geared transmission (similar to most B16 trannys) with a factory-equipped LSD.
