Should i just upgrade the intake side using the Type-R cams or should i just do the whole shibang (both intake and exhaust) using spoon or mugen? any other choices that are of good quality?
 
I would do the whole thing. If you have the money, consider getting the Skunk 2 Stage 2 cams with springs, retainers, and valves. This one keeps a stock idle but i have seen a few dyno charts say these give up to 12 hp over the ITR setup.
 
i agree with sol, it ultimately depends on how much money you're actually willing to spend. if you have the dough, i would suggest spoon or toda. if you dont really have that much money, i would suggest going the itr/ctr combo, if not get the skunks stage 2, also upgrade to valve springs and retainers while you're at it. good luck.
