Has anyone ever swapped out a D16 and put ina B18C1 I did and I cant get it to fire i changed the dizzy and everything but no spark still so its obviously the wiring harness did i forget to wire vtec and the knock sensor i mean the motor i took out had vtec, should I have used the ecu harness from the D16 and just took the gsr one off

the harness on the jdm gsr motor was crisscrossed so i lengthened the wires so they would reach on the correct sides of my engine bay to plug in and there was a wire that didnt seem to go anywhere when i lengthened them could that be the problem of why im not getting and spark and being able to start up please give me some advice or help on this
 
i swapped a b18c into a 94 civic ex with a d16z
i just used the wiring harness off of the d16z
you have the same problem i had with the jdm. the fuse box is on the wrong side and everything. but by using the d16 harness it is easier just have to lengthen some of the wires to make them reach the right sensors
then i ran the knock sensor to the ecu with a wiring harness from hasport
the ecu i used was the b18c p72
make sure you plug the knock sensor wire into the right ecu pinnout
