lol ok i spelled vtec wrong to grab some attention but serious. ok i got some b20 cams from my boy(stamped 75 on them) i was just wondering what i have to do to make them compatible with my b18a1 motor.. ive heard you can use them and ive heard that theres no differance,, so what timing belt do i use? can i use the b18 cam gears? is there a differance? ive already searched and came up with mixed reviews
search better it out there stock cam specs - Tampa Racing http://hondaswap.com/engine-building/b18b1-v-b18a1-v-b20-cams-35557/ i would wait/save for an after market set
ive been to both sites,,and thats what confused me,,there is no definate answer... and they dont really answer my questions
yeah i read it over and youre right. but for the amount of work to put them in or the money to pay a mechanic i would just save for a new/used set of after market cams
im not tryna go al out,,just a little extra power..i got them for $20 and my boy used the same setup,he said it made a little more power, and i am doing them myself so no mechanic fees
a little more? how does he know, did he dyno them or he used his "butt dyno". the butt dyno wont tell him if he lost mid range or tq. do your thing; as long as its only 20 plus a new valve cover gasket youll be fine 3-8 hp more is worth 20 bucks
butt dyno of course...but hes good with knowing that shit so i trust him... qand no need for new vc gaket, rubber FTW
