b20 HEAd help

I know i have posted this before but i was talkin to a friends who did a b20 with a itr head custom pistons and such and he told me that when putting a b series vtec head on the b20 u have to do some extinsive porting and such to get the proper flow and combustion zones just wondering if anyone knew anything about this and how much the estimated cost would be to do it. JUst need info to find out if this is true.

well, you don't have to, but you can "bore" the combustion chamber of the itr head to match the 84mm bottom end of the b20 to the 81mm itr head.

doing so will give you more cc of combustion chamber volume and can offer some gains, but its not necessary
