Any ideas out there on what kinda of head to use to make a b20 vtec for my del sol?
have you looked into a GSR head??? Are you staying all motor or you looking to boost?
how about the one on your shoulders..
b16 head all day (imo)
B16 DEFF rev happy head. b20 block = GOD.
wow noobs teaching noobs. Anyways. I would say go with a type-r head if you can find it. Unless you plan on going turbo if you do plan on turboing I would say probably the gsr head would be a good plan.
i'd stick with a b16 head... like blanco said... there the samething as a b16 head same casting and everything... just the type r has duel springs and a lil flatter valves... gsr heads in my opion suck... but when u do b20/vtec make sure u build it right... and if u dont please dont come back on this forum and says it sucks and its not reliable.. cuz it is if buildt right...
hey thanks for those tips i also had the same question. and yeah i was planning going type r but i guess ill try the b16 head alot ppl also say it works..
I right now have a built b20 block with b16 head and i absolutely love it its extremely reliable good revs only thing i really reccomend is sleeve the block
