Hey guys I was wondering what the best tranny would be to hook up a b20 into my 99 civic hatchback? Im thinking about putting a GSR or Type R head on it. Would the ITR or CTR be good choices? I would like the LSD so what are my options. I would really really like some help, thanks guys :)

Good luck. Those pistons will yield zero compression in a B20 block. They'll kinda just flop around in there too.

81mm bore pistons do NOT fit in an 84mm bore block.
 
i think he was talking about the transmission when he said CTR ITR. two different statements not broken up well :lol:
 
J spec ITR is very nice in oem form, the us spec will do also.

I think the best beat might be a GSR simply because you really can't take the b20 up past 8krpms in stock form.
 
no, i was really talking about the heads. he said he couldn't decide between the ITR or CTR head for his b20 block. i meant to say he needed to get high compression pistons for his b20 block, if he was going to use a vtec head. :p

thats what i get for trying to reply to a post in .00034 seconds.
