b20/vtec question

hey guys i have a question and hopefully you can give me some insight into this setup. i have a b20a (88-91 prelude i believe) long block. also have a 00' si head complete. my main question is the b20a compatible with my 97 civic? i know the b20b and b20z are the crv motors being used for majority or the swap going on. but can the b20a be used in the crvtec set up? please email me with any info you have on this topic. email is Streetcivic93@aol.com

the B20A is the red-headed stepchild of honda engines.... its got one of the ugliest R/S ratios on the planet... its not compatible with many of the more current B series parts... the only thing that engine is "good" for is the prelude it came out of.... dont use that block... get a B20B/Z
