oh no, here we go again.

It's not a bad motor, it just has to be built correctly. Judging from your 20 page thread, if I were you I would have a reputable engine builder do it for you.

Of course you could just rebuild the GSR and bore it out to 84 mm and have a 2L GSR.

I'd get the B20 block and just put the main girdle from the GSR into it. I wouldn't bore the gsr to 84mm. You're taking 1.5mm of material off the cylinders to do that and I just wouldn't trust it.

Technically that's exactly what the b20 is, an LS bored to 84mm. The sleeves are weak

in my opinon, the b20 was non-vtec for a reason just like the ls, keep your gsr, just my input

just to be considered, there are many people who will disagree with me

    Yes, like me. :)

Get the b20 short block and have a machine shop build it. Keep the stock bore of 84mm. Upgrade pistons/rods/rod bolts/oil pump/water pump/rear main seal. Buy a b20/vtec conversion kit and new ARP head studs, oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket.

Girdle's don't really help all that much. Also, he will be boring out 3mm, not 1.5mm being the gsr has a stock bore of 81mm.

You will never see me with a stock b18 anything though. :) As far as ls/b20 vtec's, if I go that route, it is with a built bottom end. First things first you know. They don't call me the compression king for nothing. :)

Does b20 block have an 91mm bore? Wondering.. Cause my friend told me the b20 block have 91mm bore..

But I already know all b series engines have an 81mm bore.

All B-series engines except for the B20 have an 81mm bore. The B20 has an 84mm bore.

So once again, your friend is a fucktard...

The build is an ls/vtec. It is only on the short block, which is for sale.
