Hey HS guys

So i have a buddy with 1996 Civic, had the B16Y8 Vtec automatic in the car.

Tranny on it went so we go ahead put a B20Z Automatic in it. Right now its running the original V-tec ecu.

So the ECU i need is from a 96-98 CRV OBD2A

Question is when i was researching, there is 2x4 and 4x4 models. would the ECU be different or the same between the 2x4 and 4x4 models crv?

Thanks

i would get a ecu for 96-98 non-vtec integra or a d16y7 (non-vtec obd2 ecu) but just a guess if you wanted to use the CRV ecu i would say 2x4

and i'm pretty sure you need an obd2a B-Series distributor

the car already runs and drives fine, so no worry about the distributor

i know the integra ECU would work but people said it tend to run lean mayb hurt the motor, so i would prefer a CRV ECU, if i cant find one i will resort to a integra ECU

so basically i want to know if the ecu 4x2 and 4x4 are the same or diffrent lol

Never heard of a P75 ECU running lean in a B20 set up. But you may have researched it more than I....although all info on forums needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
