So I've done it again. I have a cold-engine knock (so it's not that bad, but still a knocking fetus)..
anyway, my buddy who used to be a mechanic at Honda SWEARS that I can replace the main bearing without removing the crank.
It sounds common sensical enough..
1) Drop oil pan
2) remove cap on bad cylinder rod
3) change lower bearing
4) turn crankso there's a gap between the journal and con-rod
5) replace upper bearing
6) reassemble...
I'm just wondering if anyone has done it before, or is this going to be a first..or has this been found to be impossible..???
