I got this code and noticed that the vacumm to the egr valve will come on for about .5 sec then go off. I then measured the voltage to the egr control solenoid ground side of the relay - it is 12v then will ground out, again for about .5sec, which makes sense that the vacumm follows the voltage.
I swapped in a good ecu and it works fine but I needed to get a replacement instead of the loaner. I bought one off of eBay and the EXACT same problem of .5sec...
My question is, is this a weak part of the ecu and the ability to drive the egr control solenoid is just flakey? Can a layman fix the ecu with a new output driver get or something?
