Yeah, entourage is a total bucket of shit. MacMail (the default installed mail client) does wonders.
Running with 11,000 messages in my main in box, some subfolders are running between 100k and 300k, all stored on my local machine and the exchange server. Calendars work great, i think i had to set up my address book by hand, but telling people the server name and server path to set up their own address book really isn't too much of a hassle, but I do work with about 2,500 geeks and I might be over estimating the corporate population a bit. This is all on ex2010.
