Well, the contest was fixed. check this out.

we clearly had the most votes.

    Pick a finalist:

    check out the comments.

The Record-Journal and Federio clearly lied to us. When they were announcing the winner they had said it came down to the final hour and the votes were so close. going back and forth amongst 2 people fuck the record-journal, I would like to expose them for who they really are.

So anyone in the local area know a respectable reporter that would like to expose the record-journal I'd like to know.

I know a reporter that lives in Berlin. I forget which paper she writes for, but I believe it's the Herald. If you want the info, PM me and I'll give her a call...

you can sue. unless the fact that the contest was fixed was disclosed in some small print somewhere, this reeks of lawsuit. you could even get a class action lawsuit going, and get the other contest participants to joint in. :D

There was a thread posted about a bathroom makeover. Whoever had the most votes was SUPPOSED to get the makeover. The person with lesser votes ended up "winning" somehow.

Call up some news channels, the ones that do the consumer scam stuff. Read their disclaimers and any contracts you had with them. One thing that seems fishy to me when I clicked that link it let me vote and said that the results were set to private.

On Fri a friend of mine went to polldaddy and search for the results on Fri. they were public, he called the record journal, and all of a sudden the results are now private.

were you able to get a print or copy of the results? at least an idea of how many more you had than the 'winners' did? that could stand up or at least cause problems in court later (if it goes there) - but for sure it will make great news for some channel or fairness activist group.

    Side bar:

Common misconception about the McDonald's case.

McDonalds was warned numerous times that their coffee was abnormally hot and could hurt patrons. Spec from corporate was to have coffee at xxxº's which was deemed unreasonable. They were asked to change the spec and serve coffee at a colder temperature or to put warning labels on the cups.

When the judge awarded that settlement he was sending McDonalds a message to comply.
