I have my ideas already on what is going on, but I always prefer a second, unbiased opinion.

The battery light on the dash indicates that the battery is at too low a level of voltage for the current situation, right?

Mine came on a day ago and would blink out if i went into the higher RPMs. Checked the battery today car on and off and it would go to roughly 12.5-13 volts while running (batt light on). Im guessing this is the alternator (or voltage regulator on the alternator). Are there any other likely possiblities for something to be going wrong?

i would aslo like to know if a bad alternator can start causing funny behavior from some of the intake sensors, even if there is nothing wrong with the sensors? Ive gotten an idle control valve code, but only shortly before some funny behavior from the car and now the battery light.

Thanks in advance.
