Battery wont stay charged

just like the title says my battery wont charge!

its a brand new energizer.
i removed the altenator and brought it to my local altenator place the bench tested it twice and assured me its fine giving off 60 amps. why is my altenator not charging my battery then???

the car is a 88 lx, only mods are mpfi swap w/ a pr4 ecu


plz help

when i jump the car or use my booster pack is the only way to start it.

test for an excessive current draw. take the negative lead off of the battery and put a current meter in series with the negative lead , clip the negative lead of the current meter to the frame, connect the positive of the current meter to the negative terminal of the battery then read the display of how many milliamp is being drawn with the car off.

factory tranny ground failed after 19 yrs?!?
