I just got my engine back together and running yesterday, i have driven it a little to get a few miles on it to let it settle in a little.
When parked up but running I noticed a noise coming from the engine bay that sounds a little like the buzzing noise of a bee but louder, upon closer inspection it looks like the timing belt, from the intake cam pulley to the water pump it is a blur like its resonating somewhat, but if anything when me and a friend set the tensioner we set it too tight, could this be because its too tight?
I also get a whine coming from the bay when the engine is at higher rpm, could this be the timing belt too or a over tightened pas or alt belt?
Also i dropped my exhaust cam (with gear still attatched) while the engine was stripped and now the exhaust cam gear has a bit of a wobble but i dont think its this.
