i think i may have a bent valve...
so i let my bro drive my car and when he brought it back home he said that drove it hard and missed a shift and bounced off the rev-limiter (8100) and now the car ticks hella bad, except when at idle..... any ideas on wat it could be???

i dont see how he coulda bent a valve cause ive hit the rev limiter plenty of times without problems, tahts whats it there for

i did some research and herd that the timing belt tensioner can also make a ticking noise, but i repalced the timing belt tensioner water pump etc 10,000 miles ago

also the car has had skunk valves springs and retainers put in the car less than 5000 miles ago

    thanks

nice, also i forgot to mention that at idle or if i rev the car when in neutral it does not tick and when decel. from a higher rpm it also does not tick, only when under a load......

you have a interference motor, the only way to bend a valve is if your timing belt snaps and the valve hits the piston.

Not true. A valve spring could snap, A valve could float or stick..

One way to check is take off your oil cap and listen, if the ticking is inside it could be LMA's or maybe you need a valve adjustment.

wrong you can bed valves by overreving an a engine and floating the valves

but i do not think that this is your problem at this point i would look for a exhaust leak
