Well, in 1989 the 911 Speedster carried a base sticker of $65,480, and the 928S4 carried a bas sticker of $74,545. Anyone I've ever heard say that drives a stock Honda Civic, Chevy Cavalier, Ford Escort, or Dodge Neon.

Any 14 year old stock production car that can turn mid 13s all day long, has a top speed of 165 MPH, handles impressively, is comfortable, and gets looks, is going to get respect.

Just defending my opinion, hehe. MR2s are fun, just make sure you have another car for winter/bad weather, and when you wanna take more than one person somewhere. Also, just a note, it is not possible to have sex in an mr2. If you pop a boner in the damn thing consider yourself pinned inside the vehicle. At least the front seats recline enough to make it happen in the Porsche. :lol: Thats always a deciding factor when I buy a car. HAHA

I believe car and driver refered to it as "the poor man's NSX."
 
Well we had to travel 3 hrs to get her 240sx, we did a search through autotrader.com to find them within 500 miles (she wanted one BAD after her 92 got totalled by some old f*ck). It takes some good searching and time but if thats the car you have your heart set on then I guess it'd be worth it. She just got her s13 swap (no one had S14 in stock) and even though we're not on speaking terms at the moment :p the shit looks tight and sounds awesome.
 
MR2 parts hard to find? how so...their tranny is widely used as is the engine

and i've heard the MR2 as the poor man's ferrari, never poor mans nsx
 
Like 3 years ago, I bought a TON of car magazines at this yard sale for my bathroom reading material. They were mostly car and driver mags from the late 80's and early-mid 90's. In a test on the mk2 mr2 turbo, they called it a poor man's NSX.

Yeah, its cherry red, decent shape, a little ding on back left fearing, and the top near the moon roof is faded red, but it is real good shape besides also the cracks in the dash. Run's decent, but you have to let it warm up for atleast 15 minutes before driving otherwise, it drives like utter ass.
 
C&D IMHO has some of the best writers in the auto mag industry.

But then again, anyone could argue import tuner has good writers also.

take off the t-top, recline the seat, and have her head come out the top....same thing goes with my sol, hah....
 
yah but the seat HARDLY reclines. I'm sure its possible, but damn how much enjoyment are you gonna get out of that?! HAHA
