I'm going to try and use Ubuntu for some work applications. I have the Windows part taken care of with wine.

One of the programs that we use is older and still DOS based. So I am looking for a good DOS emulator that can run this. Looking around I came across DOSbox. I fired it up on my fiance's Vista laptop, but it didn't run like DOS. Just gave you the option to run the program without a good command line. I don't want to dual boot for a couple of programs either.

why not install VMware, and load up XP or another windows OS in a virtual machine. then you could use the msDOS command window thing.
