Dremel is a brand name... somewhat like saying "Kleenex" when you need a facial tissue. :) "Rotary tool" is what they're usually called. The one you're looking at is a real Dremel tool, and it's not a bad one either.

i got a Dremel tool for Christmas that i havent used YET!! waiting for it to get a lil warmer so i can use it on my truck when i go to do some hacking on it :)
 
whatever you do, don't get a cordless one. i have a cordless one that i got for christmas a couple of yrs ago, and it blows a$$. i can only use it for about 10 minutes, then it needs to be charged......for 6 hrs. and it only has 2 speeds, slow and slower (15000 and 7000 rpm). it sux
